    Speaking at a Funeral Home- Why it feels Great

    Last week was pretty exciting! I was able to share my testimony at two funeral homes in Southern Indiana. It was a significant milestone to speak in a funeral home because that is the audience I assumed when God first led me to write a book and share my story. I knew my experience could be comforting to people grieving and/or facing terminal illnesses. But the thought of sharing my testimony (especially with grieving people) was intimidating.     Book Signing Benefit for Brandi and Baby Shorter

    Tippy’s will host a book signing benefit with local author, Cindy Heigl, on February 25th, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Proceeds from the book signing will go to Brandi Shorter. Brandi is the surviving wife of local firefighter and hero, Michael (Bubba) Shorter, who passed away following a motorcycle accident on January 22, 2017. Brandi was also in the accident and is expecting the couple’s first child. She is recovering from her injuries. Author Cindy Heigl said of Winamac, “This is a close and caring community.     Radio Interview with Rev. Richard Brendan

    This week I had my first radio Interview! I spoke with Reverend Richard Brendan on his weekly show, Bringing Love to Life, which airs on Sundays at noon on Indianapolis station 88.7 FM WICR.     Why did I write this book?

    Last month I wrote a guest post for my good friend Marcy’s business blog. In it I explained why I authored my book, and I wanted to re-share it here: Although I was hesitant to do it, I decided to write a book about the events surrounding my sudden cardiac arrest because I was able to see how my testimony impacted other people. It was easy to see how my story could be relevant to people in specific circumstances surrounding death – such as providing comfort to a person who tragically lost a child, parent, or friend.     Walk the Talk Indianapolis

    I am excited to announce that I will be one of the speakers at the February Walk the Talk! event in Indianapolis featuring Miracles. I will share the “short” 10 minute version of my story live at the Vogue Theater on Wednesday February 15. Doors open at 7:15pm and the show starts at 8:00pm.
